Serious shoppers visiting Dubai from 20th December 2006 to 2nd February 2007 during the shopping festival will find that even the most prestigious stores offer up to 50% off the cost of their goods.

By night dull lanes become transformed into dazzling labyrinths and you can experience the heady aromas of the spice souks, as well as gold souks where prices are amongst the lowest in the world and you can find shop windows filled with all manner of gold jewellery.

Dubai: Restaurants The most cosmopolitan and vibrant City in the Gulf, Dubai has an excellent variety of restaurants offering the chance to enjoy cuisine from all over the world. From American to Thai, Indian to Italian and everything between – there really is something to suit every taste and budget.

Eating out is extremely popular in Dubai and most places will be buzzing with all nationalities and styles of dress. Restaurants are generally open from 1900 hours, but aren’t busy until 2100 hours.

When choosing a restaurant, remember to check the price range, whether the restaurant is licensed to serve alcohol, and the location.

Many submerged wrecks attract a startling array of vivid tropical fish and make for fascinating diving. Coral and reef diving in the sheltered water of the Gulf of Oman offers a chance to see harmless sharks, rays and other exotic species.
